Foundation Grant Opportunity/Beazzley Foundation, Inc. since 1948

The Beazley Foundation provides grants primarily in Virginia, although some grants are awarded to organizations from other states. In 2002, the Foundation awarded more than $3 million in grants to numerous education and other organizations. Grant awards range from $1,000 to $300,000. The foundation is interested in providing a quality secondary education for deserving youngsters, as well as recreational facilities for the children of the city. Specific areas of interest in the field of education include afterschool/enrichment programs, agriculture, arts/humanities, business education; colleges & universities; economic education; education associations; education reform; elementary education; engineering, faculty development, leadership training, gifted and talented programs, legal education, literacy; medical education; minority education; preschool education; private education, school volunteerism; science/mathematics, social sciences; special education; and student aid.
